Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale blinks. Not really sure how the answer. He hated doing tedious work, but she had done similliar things to him. Not to mention being rather loyal. "Er....I guess..."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena runs her hand across a few books, stopping over a rather thick and torn up book. She pulls it out. "How about this one?" There seems to be a mosaic of sorts on the front, with two men facing each other, swords raised. They seem to be ready to begin a duel.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"History of Abbis and Angel conflicts going as far back as when the wars started. It was written by first generation Abbis."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Abbisian? Bah. Trop alésant et loin trop semblable au Français." The voice emanates from a hooded man across the room from the Abbis and the Siren. "Eu prefiro este? Oder dieses? Usted nunca sabrá para seguro. Perhaps I simply prefer English. Let us ignore the languages for a moment, shall we? It bores me.
It would seem that you are starting to gain affection for the whore." (( Five languages used in this post. Find them all. ;p )) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena raises an eyebrow at the stranger, but otherwise shows no interest. She is flipping through the pages of the book, examining the extremely detailed artwork.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((...Bastard Id. You sick sick bastard. :P I got four out of five but I still dunno what you said ><.))
"You're the kid who wants me dead. Don't you find some one else to kill me, seeing as Chaos failed?" |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((English, Portuguese, German, Spanish, French.))
"Quite the contrary, Chaos has at least succeeded in achieving one of my goals-the possession of a body. The energy drained from you through the Sword of Fury has supplemented me enough to allow me to take possession of a body... You see, I cannot affect this dimension unless I take a physical presence. I'll leave it up to you to guess whose body I took." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale frowns, disliking Id more than Chaos himself. "Let me guess, Chaos?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena snaps the book shut, then, carrying it under one arm, walks over to Id. "I am sure that one of your power realizes that Satan was banished from Heaven before he even came close to becoming God.. I never would have guessed that a creature such as yourself would be so uneducated and immature."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Incorrect, Gale. He resisted my power. Not to worry, he shall pay the sum that is his life. I shall give you a hint: it is part of your family." ((Well, unless Shiloko is off-limits. If he is, I'll come up with other character.)) Turning his head quickly at the siren's comment, Id angrily replies. "How would you know my motive if no words were uttered about it?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale is silent, he didn't care much for his family, but it depended on what Id ment. "All beings are the same. We all want something rather selfish. I'm sure you're no better, Mr. Id."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Id's anger makes her smile slightly. "It was not difficult to decipher the darkness of your heart.."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Id pulls down his hood, revealing his face, that of Shiloko, Gale's brother. One exception is greatly apparent, his hair is blue. "I don't dispute that, Gale. I merely dispute the accused motive itself. As for the whore... I have no heart. I am merely a spirit trapped in a vessel not belonging to me."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Just what is it you want?" Gale stares at what once was the body of his brother. He shows no remore or sorrow of the lose, however.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"This is merely a social call. Or you could call it a warning. It matters not to me. All I require from you is your body and soul. Thankfully, for you, I have the kindness to wait for you to prepare for your death. I bid you adieu." Blue flames shoot out of the floor, surrounding Id. Upon the dissipation of the flames, Id is long gone.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale stares at the place Id use to stand. He had a feeling that he had just become the enemy of a very powerful force. "Ngh...just what the hell is he?" Gale shakes his head. Answers had a habit of revealing themselves if you were patient.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One is near the back, shocked at the scene. He walks to Gale. "Who was that and why the HELL didn't you attack him?! Do you know what it means everytime we lose somebody?! You'll attack somebody who sneaks into your library but not someone who puts us closer to extinction?!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"He was more powerful then me. I could not of possibly won. He was able to control Chaos. His time will come as all of ours do."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena doesn't really seem bothered by Id's visit, instead she starts leafing through the book she was looking through previously. "Such hostility.. So much blood spilled.. And whatever for..?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Apparently my kind was becoming to advanced to fast. One Abbis discovered how to travel through the dimensions at will. That's what made the Angels take notice of us."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She nods slightly, still flipping through the pages. "That is understandable, I suppose..." She stops on a page with an intricate design surrounding a charcoal sketch of an Abbis wearing highly valuable cloths and jewelry. "Your king, I gather?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One is still mad at what just happened. Under his breath he grumbles: "Too powerful for you? Since when has that stopped you before?" He then takes notice of the picture Laena asks about. "King Jaliric was a childhood friend of our fathers. But he grew up and went ahead."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale growls at One, but he isn't in the mood to argue right now.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
A smiles crosses her lips. "It has been thousands of years, and yet you still argue like children.. A peculiar species you are, indeed.."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale gives Laena an annoyed look. "Was that an insult?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Her smile widens. "Of course not, love." She turns to the bookcase once more and runs her hands across the books, scanning for anything of interest.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale raises an eyebrow, not sure if what he just heard is what she actually said. "...What did you just call me?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Shakes the argument off. "It'd take you a good year to get through this library, even if you read nonstop."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She turns to look at Gale, the smile not fading. "I'm sorry, did you say something?" She hands him a book which looks like it's covered in dried blood.
She looks at One. "Well.. The way I see it, we have eternity.." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale frowns, just because the Siren seemed to like him didn't means she had gone through a change. "Stop trying to mess with One."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"It'd take more than eternity to teach you, Siren."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Her smile fades. "Why, I did nothing of the sort! I merely meant that since I am immortal, while you live for thousands of years, we have a long time to peruse through this library.."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale blinks, seems like he offended her again. Women. "Why are you so intrested?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She takes a step closer towards Gale. "I just want to learn more about you, is all.. I was kind enough to share the treasure of my people, was I not?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Damnit, she had a point. "Yes you were."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The smile returns. "I am glad we are on an agreement on at least one thing, Gale Onarav." She glances at the blood-stained book Gale is holding. "A book of spells..?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((Woohoo! Excuse to show off an important item!))
"It's The Book of Cardodon Ryl. I found it some years ago. It must be older then me, because it has languages I don't know in it. I also sense a strong magical aura from it, like it's...living." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I have spoken the languages of those before you.. Perhaps I can decipher some of it?" She holds out her hands for Gale to give her the book.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I did translate the human and Abbissian parts, the rest are in elven, as well as some things I've never seen before." He hads Laena the book.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She sets the book down on a nearby table, and she opens it slowly. Her long dexterous fingers turn the pages slowly, one by one.. Until she suddenly stops. "Hmm.. There is a prophecy here..." She leans forward slightly. "It is the writing of an Oracle.." She is silent as she reads, her finger under the words she reads.
